PBT

Product Introduction

The PBT series materials feature excellent heat resistance, toughness, fatigue resistance, self-lubrication, low friction coefficient, weather resistance, very good dimensional stability, chemical resistance and good electrical performance, etc. It has excellent resistance to various chemical substances at room temperature, including aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, perchloroethylene, oil, fat, alcohol, diol, ester, ether, dilute acid and alkali, etc.
The water absorption rate of PBT is only 0.1%, and it still maintains various physical properties (including electrical performance and electrical insulation) in a humid environment. The PBT series materials can crystallize rapidly at low temperatures, have good formability, short mold cycle, and the molding temperature is lower than that of many engineering plastics. Generally, PBT series materials have higher tensile and flexural moduli and dielectric strength than most thermosetting materials, as well as faster and more economical formability characteristics.

Advantages:

Chemical resistance and oil resistance;
2. It has a low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties.
3. Low water absorption rate;
4. Electrical properties;
5. Dimensional stability

Disadvantage:
1. Impact strength
2. It is vulnerable to erosion by halogenated hydrocarbons and has poor resistance to hydrolysis.
